(Podcast) Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain
Emma is unusual in that she just uses a bell to signal the transition between portions of her podcast broadcast (discussions and advertisements), rather than a lyrical jingle to change topics. Additionally, she doesn't include any songs; instead, she just has chats about themes that are relevant to teenagers and young adults, who are also her target market. Due to the sympathetic and realistic ways she interacts with her audience/listeners, such as ranting, her podcast show is currently quite well-known among teenagers. Since she is still in her early 20s, this has reached the target demographic, making it simpler to relate to teenagers and young adults. As a result, it has encouraged us to target teenagers, who are the ideal audience for our age group.
(Podcast) Rotten Mango with Stephanie Soo
A true crime and all things creepy podcast is called Rotten Mango. a podcast that specializes in the true crime and horror genres. The podcast is quite interesting since it is very detail-oriented, but for the radio show, it was the storytelling that served as my motivation. The message is communicated through storytelling, which also lends a little humor to the material, despite how dark it is. We need the news to be digestible in the radio show's news segment because we are aiming for consumers who listen to the radio mostly in the morning. I do have to note how rotten mango pulls in younger viewers (within the young adult and teenage demographic) are drawn to this genre by Stephanie's presentation of the cases, this genre often caters to an older viewership. Stephanie's sharp observations and quips, which are highly relevant to the current time period, set this podcast apart from others in the same category.
