Logo Development

Logo Drafts (sketches) & Development process

She began by experimenting with different font sizes and whether or not to color the text. She then made an attempt to gradually add a hint of stars to fit our radio name, "All Star," shortly after that. You can tell that she tried to imagine how the star might appear in many locations by the stars' appearance, combined with the font. Although none of them resonates as strongly, we as a group think that using the other Ilona versions would be preferable because they best fit the radio show's concept.

The development of [DRAFT] Ilona and I both contributed to these two sketches, which were each created on a different sheet of paper. The document on the left demonstrates the fonts, designs, positions, and thoughts that were tried and rejected. The development, which is appropriately moving toward the conclusion, is shown in the document on the right. They have stated that they wanted to concentrate on making the emblem generally take the form of a star. Ilona then made a change by enclosing the star in the word "All" with a line, suggesting that she was "visiting all places in every corner." They started out wanting merely pictures or "messy" ideas, but they ultimately came up with a more aesthetically pleasing composition that is softer and more beautiful. To add onto another development they did was transitioning from sharp shapes to rounded fonts.

The Medibang Paint software was used to design the final "All Star" logo, and it took roughly 30 minutes to complete. Ilona had various difficulties, but it took her some time to form the star. The specifics were obscured, though, to make it appear to be the typeface. We can see that the "All" is positioned on the line (also known as the "ring") that surrounds the word "Star," which is specifically shaped like a star. Both "All" and "Star" have fonts that are significantly different from one another. "All" has a block-shaped font in white with black borders, whereas "Star" has a swirl-like script that is black and takes the form of a star. The star is surrounded by a structure that resembles a "ring," making it comparable to Saturn, which has a ring surrounding its body. The ring is white when it crosses the word "Star," revealing more of its form, which is only one of the amazing intricacies. Ilona also used only the colors black and white, which represented simplicity and the majority of the public at the time. Additionally, the logo conveys and/or depicts pop music, our radio show's main genre, as well as a nod to K-Pop and western culture for our news part. Hollywood, which is the center of pop music, is also represented by the stars (actors, actresses, singers, and pop stars).
