Brief of this blog post |
This blog post details how frequent ads are targeted towards a target demographic, as we will see later on some ads do appear more than once and other viewers get exposed to ads being put out by these media companies. |
Quizlet
- charity towards Ukraine
- charity advert
most often then not, quizlet promotes ads based on education and awareness and based on my past search histories of certain charities, it would make sense on how they keep exposing these charity ads to me.
Youtube
|
When you open the youtube home page, 90% of the time they would display this ad advertising their memberships, whether it'd be for certain channels and or youtube premium, they're subscription service. |
Spotify
|
Spotify ads usually display ads of songs that recently dropped to promote artists as well and boost streaming views. For example, If I listen to a specific genre new and upcoming artists who release new albums and songs would most likely get advertised towards me. |
Ebay
|
In ebay, they focus on advertising certain products, for example in the ad above they promote new tech products and using the bold words "up to 40% off" can attract customers to buy their products. This makes sense as they focus on selling varieties of different products alike. |
All Kpop
Periplus
Gramedia
Me and my partner Nadine, got the same adverts in the site AllKpop however, got differing adverts in the website quizlet. The first is quizlet.com, and we received a few different advertisements. I received an advertisement for "Tes Kemampuan Bahasa Inggris" while my partner received an ad for the new Samsung phone. The next website we visited was allkpop.com, where we saw the same advertisement for AllKill and IdolPlus. Third, I went to periplus.com and saw an advertisement "International Day of Education". While Nadine recieved the advertisement for Prince Harry's book, Spare.
