Statement of intent

This is the statement of intent of our group. There are two formats below, the older version and the newer one, this blog post will discuss the base plan to our music video and a reflection of each format. Made by Rania.

REFLECTION: The past format with the paragraph style was not concise and made it hard to distinguish certain parts which we updated with the new format. The past format did not include dominant reading or themes and message which is improved with the new format. In the future moving forward with other projects, this format for our statement of intent may be better suited and hence, can make the production of ideas process much faster and hence less complicated . 

Audience

Our target audience is made up of young adults between the ages of 15 and 25. With the integration of both male and female, especially those in highschool, we target both genders. Although the music video is intended for a global audience, we will primarily target Asian audiences as we are indonesian based band . Students in high school and college are typically affected by this issue, which is why this video focuses on them. We think a simple, sincere approach would be welcomed by our audience. 

Media Language 

This music video is intended for people who are interested in the city pop, r&b genre. The dramatic lighting, dramatic scene, ambient and tense music, as well as the narrative, which will bear the weight of our message that we want to transmit to people, are the genre norms we will portray. 

Represesentation

We will speak for youth and young adults alike, through our representation of love, in specific young love. The music video will portray them in a way that discusses the main characters as young and naive, which are conveyed through the shots we plan to employ alongside the mood and setting of the locations we’ve chosen and props or facial expressions which may better enhance this vision. 

Industry
The distribution of this work will take place on social media sites like YouTube and music platforms such as spotify and mtv. We may include new media into our promotional strategies by using Twitter and Instagram to generate interest in our music video. Since we are primarily interested in students, we will appear in podcasts and interviews to share our campaign across the world. We can ensure that our media output reaches as many viewers as possible by utilising social media.
