Moodboard

This blog posts discusses the mood board I created for our music video project.

Reflection: To gather the images below, i used two sites; canva and pinterest. I started by creating a board in pinterest and then compiled all the photos and made a collage on canva. We agreed on a nighttime/sunset/sunrise theme, and any daytime pictures would be adjusted to have low contrast and a vintage vibe. If the problem remains, we will have to examine alternatives to Canva. Aside from that, making a moodboard appears to be a helpful guide for constructing our storyboard or coming up with sequences for our music video. There are some aesthetics on this board that we will have difficulty recreating, particularly those with cities, because Denpasar is not particularly bright and local religious law prohibits the erection of big buildings.

A lot of my inspiration came from late 90's early 2000's romcom. I loved the style of the movie 10 things I hate about you which used vibrant low saturation shots and targetted the teenage audience really well.

The inspiration from this moodboard came from the film (portra) style, and also the infamous sofia coppola movie "lost in translation". This movie was directed and shot so well, the use of color and sofia's personal style made me interested in garnering some inspiration for our music video.
